WOW! Is Now!

The Week of Witness takes place March 28 – April 4, 2010, all across The Wesleyan Church. As Churches and ministries have focused on witnessing and evangelism for four weeks, the goal is for every person to share their personal faith in Jesus with someone during the Week of Witness – also known as “Passion Week.”

When we consider the Passion of Christ that caused Him to enter Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, our response should be to welcome Him into our lives and community as well. When we watch the Passion of Jesus as He allowed others to crucify Him at Calvary, our response should be that of sorrow and thanksgiving for His ultimate act of love. When we witness the Passion of the Savior who defeated the grave on Easter morning, our response should be to “go and tell” as the first witnesses of the resurrection were instructed.

Who will you tell about the living Christ during the Week of Witness? Be sure to be passionate and intentional. Tell as many as you can about life in Jesus and remember – Easter weekend would be one of the best times of the year to invite as many people as possible to your Church’s services and activities.

In Christ,
Dr. Jim Dunn
General Director of Spiritual Formation Dept. of The Wesleyan Church
